The Expander Body (EB) is a folded steel sheet cylinder, called an expansive body, which is inflated by injecting cement mortar through an injection tube or the steel bar itself, creating a bulb at the end of the tie rod or pile.
The EB concept was developed by Swedish engineer Bo Skogberg during the 1980s in Sweden and perfected in Bolivia during the last decade.
